Almost there
Good evening all! Kinda sad that the Olympics are over. They are extremely inspirational, all the hard work and dedication that goes into just getting to the games is amazing. It motivates me in all aspects of my life, family, school, photography.
Quick peak at what I plan on discussing this week includes some basic things every photographer should know. I've decided I should begin with introductory information and then progress to more advanced techniques as time goes on.
Tonight's picture is of a Wine glass at sunset. I took it during Thanksgiving when I went to the beach in North Carolina. Every evening was gorgeous with amazing sunsets. Thanks for viewing!

Back Alley
So today was a good day. Gave myself the opportunity to get out and shoot today. Went around and found some really cool places in Ellensburg that I hadn't explored before. If you want to see all the pictures I took, check out my facebook page.
Today's picture is of a back alley in Ellensburg. It's another HDR 3 shots -2 to +2. Hope you like it!

Camera Gear
Since I said I was going to go over my camera gear today, that is exactly what I'm going to do.
First off, I use a Canon Rebel XSi
My first lens is an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
My next lens, my telephoto lens (Hoping to get a better one, one of these days) is a Quantaray 70-300 w/macro
And my final lens is my nifty fifty, 50mm
So, that's what I have in my bag. There are a few other nic nacs that I use, but I will be sharing those when the specific technique comes up!
Today's photo is of some cool flowers I found at my school's greenhouse. Hope you like it!

Spring, where are you?
I nearly forgot to do my blog tonight. :-P
It's been a long day studying for and then taking my Econ exam, and then having to write a paper tonight. Tomorrow morning I need to finish preparing for a presentation, fun....
On a brighter note, I plan on taking time out this weekend to do some photography. I'm starting to feel artistically deprived.
For tonight's blog, I was planning on posting links to my tools of the trade, but considering that it is late, I will postpone that till tomorrow.
Tonight's photo is an old shot. It is of some nice spring Red Tulips, cause I'm really ready for spring to get here so I can update my flower shots.

LOST
Well today has consisted of studying for my economics exam. So far, I'm thinking it won't be too horrible, I just need to buckle down and finish reviewing everything.
That and I'm watching Lost, I'm going to make this quick tonight.
The picture I'm posting is another HDR (yes, yes I know, I still need to explain what that is. Next week, I promise!). It's of a window at an old train station for farming supplies I believe. Thanks for viewing!

And.....
since the first blog says I wrote it on Monday, well, the idea was originally thought up on Sunday. So, today's blog is actually Monday's blog. :-P
That being said, I want to give credit to the people who have inspired me to start this blog. First shout out is to Trey Ratcliff, a wonderful photographer and leader in the style of HDR photography. Here is a link to his blog/website: StuckinCustoms
My second shout out is to my Mom, a wonderful artist is her own right. Her blog consists of daily poetry as well as great abstract traditional art. Here is the link to her blog: LaurieMiller'sArtisticLife
By next week, I plan on talking more about photography techniques and other interesting photography tid bits.
The picture I have up today is of a Rose on Music. I was inspired to do this picture when I found a rose in the garbage, and the idea to put it on some classical came to me. Hope you like it!
Day 1
So I've decided to start a blog. I'm going to dedicate this blog to mostly Photography, and I'll probably mix in some other things I find to be interesting as well. Everyday I will post a picture, by doing this, hopefully it will keep me motivated to continue to get out and shoot!
This first shot is of a rundown gas station just outside of Ellensburg, Washington. It's shot in HDR (Which I'll discuss in my blog on another day) -2 to +2.
